SOP For Hot Air Blower

 

Standard Operating Procedure for Electric Hot Air Blower.

 

1.00 Purpose

The purpose of this  SOP is to develop a standard procedure for operating the Electric hot air Blower.

2.0 Scope

This SOP is applicable for the Hot Air Blower of conventional coating pans used in the tablet coating area of the production section.

3.0 Responsibility

3.1 Machine Operator is responsible for operating the Electric Hot Air  Blower.

3.2 Production Pharmacist is responsible for the implementation of this Standard Operating Procedure.

3.3 The Head Of Production  is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the current SOP.

3.4 Quality Assurance Officer monitors the compliance of this SOP.

4.0 Procedure

4.1 Pharmacist shall ensure that the Hot Air Blower, coating pans & the area are properly cleaned.

4.2 Production Pharmacist shall ensure that the line clearance is awarded & product labels are attached to the area & equipment.

4.3 Bring Hot Air Blower near the coating pan & Adjust the position of the hot air supplying pipe according to the tablet bed position.

4.4 Insert the wire plug of the Hot air Blower into the socket & press the On button to start the air blower.

4.5 Turn On the heaters of the hot air Blower and adjust the temperature According to BMR.

4.6 Start Spraying & complete the coating process according to BMR.

4.7 At the end of the coating process turn the heaters Off then turn off the blower & remove the wire plug.

4.10 Attach hot air Blower

 'To be cleaned' label,record the activity in the logbook of the Hot air Blower and sign it.
