SOP For Cleaning Of Pallets

 

Standard Cleaning Procedure for Cleaning Of Pallets.

1.0 Purpose

The purpose of this SOP is to establish a standard cleaning procedure for  pallets used for stacking of shippers or other product containers in pharma.

2.0 Scope

This SOP is applicable for cleaning of all the Pallets used in the production and packaging area of the pharmaceutical industries.

3.0 Responsibility

3.1 Production & Packaging helpers are responsible for cleaning Pallets.

3.2 Production & Packaging Supervisors are responsible for ensuring the proper cleaning of pallets.

3.3 Production Pharmacist is responsible for the implementation of this SOP.

3.4 Q.A Officer monitors the compliance of this SOP.

4.0 Procedure

4.1 Production or Packaging helper  shall clean the entire surface of the pallet with dry lint free cloth.

4.2 Production or Packaging helper shall clean the entire surface of the pallet with wet lint free cloth soaked in purified water.

4.3 Dry the surface of the pallet with dry lint free cloth.

4.4 Disinfect  the entire surface of the Pallet with 70% IPA.

4.5 Now Pallet is ready for use & re-cleans it again according to cleaning validation frequency if not used.
